Garden Therapy group Wednesdays

Wednesday 4 November, 2026 from 13:00 - 16:00

Little Dutch Farm, Blokdijk 5, 1608HH, Wijdenes

About the sessions

The wednesday group starts from 4th november. Join anytime for 6 weeks.

Garden therapy is proven to reduce stress and anxiety. This 6 week program combines gardening, mindful practices, one-on-one coaching and group sharing to support you if you are suffering from stress, anxiety and depression. Small groups of 4 participants.

On the farm, tasks are simple and repetitive, making it easy to get into a state of “flow.” When we’re in this harmonious flow, our body, mind, and surroundings align, promoting recovery and well-being.

Being in the flow strengthens our parasympathetic nervous system and boosts brain health. It releases anti-depressant neurotransmitters like endorphins and serotonin.

Program

Arriving
We begin with a cup of tea from the tea garden. Fresh herbs, picked that morning, whatever the season offers. A moment to land, let the journey fall away and notice where you are.

Sharing circle
We gather together and check in. How are you arriving today? There is no pressure to say much. Sometimes a few words are enough, and sometimes simply listening is what’s needed.

Mindful practice
A short practice to bring you out of your head and back into your body. Slowing the breath. Noticing the sounds, the light, the ground beneath your feet. This is where the nervous system starts to soften.

Seasonal gardening
Then we get to work. Sowing in spring, tending and harvesting in summer, clearing and planting bulbs in autumn, pruning in winter. Simple, meaningful tasks that ask for your attention without asking you to perform. Often this is where the real conversations begin.

Time to reflect
Quiet time with your journal, wherever in the garden you feel drawn to sit. A space to notice what’s coming up and let it find its words.

One on one coaching
During the afternoon, each participant has a personal coaching session with me to explore what you’re carrying and what you might need.

Closing together
We come back to the circle for a final practice and a moment of sharing. What are you taking home with you? We close the afternoon with tea and something nourishing from the farm.
