Program

09:45 – Arrival & Settling In
As you arrive at Little Dutch Farm, you’ll be welcomed by the peaceful ambiance of nature. Take a moment to unwind, breathe deeply, and allow the tranquility of the farm to wash over you, setting the tone for a restorative day ahead.

10:00 – Tea Ceremony & Introduction
We’ll begin with a gentle tea ceremony, inviting you to slow down and turn inward. Together, we’ll introduce the theme of stress relief, exploring how nature and body-based (somatic) practices can help us release tension and restore inner balance.

10:30 – 11:00 – Somatic Practice: Nervous System Reset
Engage in a calming somatic practice designed to reset your nervous system. This practice helps you find ease and relaxation, creating space for the rest of the day.

11:00 – 12:00 – Mindful Nature Exercises & Sharing Circle
Guided nature exercises that deepen your connection to yourself and the environment. In our sharing circle, you’ll have the chance to reflect, listen, and exchange insights, allowing you to let go of stress and feel supported by the group.

12:00 – 12:30 – Somatic Practice: Vagal Toning for Calm
We’ll continue with another somatic practice focused on vagal toning, a powerful technique to calm your nervous system. You’ll leave this session feeling grounded, relaxed, and centered.

12:30 – 13:00 – Reflection, Ritual & Closing
We’ll close with a simple ritual, offering space to reflect on the day’s experiences and carry your newfound calm and clarity into daily life. You’ll leave Little Dutch Farm with practical tools for stress relief and a deep sense of peace.

13:00 – 14:00 – Nourishing Farm-to-Table Lunch
This mindful lunch provides time to recharge, continue reflecting, and savor the simple pleasures of wholesome, farm-to-table food.

Location

At our beautiful, rural farmhouse from 1901, sustainably renovated with respect for nature, you will find peace and space. The farm features a small meadow with four horses, an orchard full of fruit trees, a flourishing vegetable garden, and a pond filled with water lilies, ducks, and frogs, accompanied by a cheerful choir of birds.

Miss & Tommie, our farm cats, and our Bernese Mountain Dog, Balou, warmly welcome you to Little Dutch Farm, where nature and simplicity come together.

Riané discovered somatics during her own journey of recovering from Long Covid. Combining Somatic Stress Release™, Mindfulness, Vagal Toning & Polyvagal Therapies, her heartfelt mission is to help others reconnect with themselves and create a life with more ease, flow and vitality.

Additional information

Retreats will go ahead in all weather conditions except for weather warnings yellow, orange or red. Then the retreat will be cancelled and you will be refunded.

The event is fully outdoors so please dress appropriately.
