Nature Retreat: Cultivating Hope in a Changing Climate

Saturday 14 June, 2025 from 10:00 - 16:00

Little Dutch Farm, Blokdijk 5, 1608HH, Wijdenes

Retreat Theme

A Nature Retreat to Navigate and Transform Climate Anxiety

In a world that often feels like it’s shifting beneath our feet, hope isn’t something we chase, it’s something we cultivate, slowly and deeply, like roots finding their way into the earth.

This retreat invites you to step away from the noise, the urgency, and the overwhelm, and enter a peaceful space where nature teaches us to slow down, listen, and remember. Through movement, stillness, and sensory connection, we’ll explore resilience as something felt in our bodies, heard in the wind, and mirrored in the changing rhythms of the land.

Together, we’ll walk barefoot on the earth, breathe with the trees, and let the quiet wisdom of nature remind us that we, too, are part of this great unfolding. This isn’t about fixing, forcing, or finding all the answers. It’s about learning to stand steady in change, to trust the cycles of renewal, and to carry the grounded clarity of this experience back into our daily lives.

Hope isn’t fragile, it’s rooted, resilient, and alive in every leaf, every breath, and every step we take toward connection. Let’s rediscover it, together.

Program

09:45 – Arrival & Settling In
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed into the tranquil atmosphere of Little Dutch Farm. Take a moment to settle into the peaceful surroundings, letting go of stress and opening yourself up to the day ahead.

10:00 – 10:45 Tea Ceremony & Introduction
We begin with a tea ceremony from the farm, setting the tone for the day as we explore the theme of the day. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where everyone can share as much or as little as they feel comfortable.

10:45 – 11:45 – Riding the emotional cycle
In this nature exercise, we’ll explore the emotional cycle of climate anxiety—accepting feelings of despair, anger, sadness, hope, and action. Using the metaphor of nature’s cycles, we’ll reflect on how emotions naturally ebb and flow, just like the seasons.

11:45 – 12:45 – Somatic Movement & Dance using the bodies wisdom in Adaptation
Move through different embodied states—grounded (earth), flowing (water), expansive (air), expressive (fire)

12:30 – 13:30 – Farm-to-Table Lunch
A nourishing, seasonal lunch prepared with ingredients from the farm. Along with the meal, we’ll hear about sustainable living and off-the-grid farming practices at Little Dutch Farm.

13:30 – 14:00 – Mindful Meditation Nature Walk
A guided mindful walk through the farm grounds and surrounding nature.

14:00 – 15:00 – Yoga Nidra – Rest as a Resilient Act
We’ll practice deep relaxation, pausing and surrendering to the earth’s support is an essential part of regeneration

15:00 – 15:30 – Planting seeds of hope
During this contemplative ritual, we’ll each plant a symbolic seed of hope, representing a personal intention or action we wish to nurture in the coming months.

15:30 – 16:00 – Closing circle – Carrying Resilience into Daily Life
We’ll gather one last time to reflect on the day, share insights, and be reminded that resilience is not something we have to create—it’s already within us, like nature itself.

Camille Nanette
Holistic Health

Camille holds space for people to slow down, ground deeply, and reconnect with the steady, life-giving rhythms of the earth and of their own inner nature.

With a background in earth sciences and a career in corporate Energy & climate space. Camille’s journey began with a desire to make a meaningful impact on the world. But over time, the constant drive to succeed left her depleted, disconnected, and living in survival mode.

Through a process of deep personal healing, she began to unravel the patterns of stress and striving that had shaped her life. Rooted in somatic work, intuitive movement, and nature-based wisdom, she learned to stop pushing and start listening, to her body, to the land, and to life itself.

Now, she creates grounded, nourishing spaces for others to do the same. Her presence is calm, caring, and quietly powerful, offering a sense of safety that allows people to soften, feel, and remember.

She believes that when we break free from the pressure to always do and achieve, we begin to receive something far more powerful: the flow of life itself. And from that place, true resilience can take root.
